Objective :

Purpose of the role:

• Develops and aligns manufacturing strategy and plans

• Defines manufacturing requirements to meet business objectives

• Generates and evaluates manufacturing options

• Learns from other Unilever businesses and transfers successes

• Differentiates between short-term tactics and long-term strategy

• Balances flexibility, complexity and reliability with scale and scope economies.

• Target Setting and Action Planning

• Sets balanced targets in line with manufacturing strategy

• Assesses targets in terms of benchmark data; agreeing targets with staff and departments

• Applies process improvement techniques and fosters a continuous improvement culture.

• Operating Performance Systems

• Collects data

• Interprets manufacturing and customer service data

• Obtains informal feedback

• Initiates corrective actions

• Conducts progress reviews

• Institutes methods and procedures to ‘hold the gains’.

• Designing and Implementing Measurement Systems

• Sets up a simple performance measurement system

• Incorporates KPIs into existing IT systems

• Performs audits of measurement systems

• Develops/adjusts supporting systems (e.g. develop bonus scheme based on targets).

• Calculates an initial shipment plan including innovation and promotion activities

• Is responsible for execution of shipment plan

• Resolves customer related issues to shipment (missing documents, quality complaints etc.)

• Is responsible for availability of stocks in various markets

• Is responsible for primary & secondary Customer case fill on time (CCFOT)

• Communicates the shipment plan to the warehouse and 3^rd party logistic providers

• Does stock allocation between regions

Profile:

• BAC+5 Engineer Degree

• 0-3 years of engineering experience

• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP (Plant Maintenance and Purchasing)

• Problem Solving skills

• Budget Management skills

• Coaching skills

• Good analytic skills
